  1. FDCPATCH is a program by Bruce Noonan, the author of ST Writer Elite and
  2. its commercial successor, MultiWriter.  This program will fix a bug in
  3. TOS 2.05 in relation to high density drives in the Mega STE.  TOS 2.05
  4. doesn't install the _FDC cookie in your Mega STE even when the HD Drive
  5. and the AJAX chip are present.  This program will install the proper
  6. cookie in the cookie jar (what a name!) and thus allow HD formatting.
  7. This will allow ST Writer to format HD on TOS 2.05 (with the proper
  8. hardware!).
